dub dialect

Grizzy Wynter was the performa on this sample pack, and he brought a likkle of that T. flavour and spice to the mic. It’s all love with Grizzy, but he’s an intense soul with much to say, which is exactly why we wanted to capture his big vibes for everyone to roll up tight into any production.

We used 2 microphones to capture these vocals, a Soyuz 017 tube condenser and a Shure 50AC acoustic coupler for a lo-fi feel. Vintage preamps, outboard EQ, and hardware compression were all used on the way in to make these vocals truly drop-in ready. We also created 2 effects versions for each of the 161 samples, using a real hardware tape delay slap back, and a hardware spring reverb for that extra dubbed-out authenticity.
